Agritourism or agrotourism, as it is defined most broadly, involves any agriculturally based operation or activity that brings visitors to a farm or ranch. Agritourism has different definitions in different parts of the world, and sometimes refers specifically to farm stays, as in Italy. Elsewhere, agritourism includes a wide variety of activities, including buying produce direct from a farm stand, navigating a corn maze, slopping hogs, picking fruit, feeding animals, or staying at a bed and breakfast (B&B) on a farm. Locanda della Valle Nuova is an Agriturismo in Le Marche

If you get to see beautiful new places while you wander around Le Marche for agricultural purposes, can you also call it Agritourism?
That’s exactly what I did today!

San Giovanni Battista Carpegna Marche Agriturismo

Carpegna, a village North from us near Emilia Romagna and Tuscany border, home of the DOP Prosciutto di Carpegna and scene of the amazing story of Pasquale Rotondi, monument man. Today, during my long day roaming between Urbino and Carpegna dealing with farm duties I got to stop and have a look around the Pieve di San Giovanni Battista a nice building that dates from the IX to the XVI century.
Sorry for the gray skyes… Spring, Summer or early Autumn will be a better choice for le Marche Agritourism!
