The Locanda is the perfect starting point for walks and treks: it stands just a few miles away from beautiful Riserva Naturale Gola del Furlo (Furlo Gorge) with its peculiar flora and fauna (including wolves and some pairs of golden eagles), and from Parco del Sasso Simone and Simoncello with its distinctive geological formations. The beaches and rocky coastlines of Parco del Monte San Bartolo and Conero represent an interesting option compared to the typical Adriatic sandy beaches.
The Grotte di Frasassi (Frasassi Caves), among the biggest in Europe, include a chamber which is large enough to hold Milan cathedral.
In Sansepolcro you can visit the Aboca Museum: a unique collection of books and historical artifacts providing a historical survey of the utilization of herbs through the centuries.
At the Locanda you will find maps of walks and treks.
We have stables available for those who bring their own horses. In addition, our own horses are at our guests' disposal for lessons and walks in the countryside.
After a busy day of visits and walks relax by the pool, enjoying the sweeping view of the landscape and, if you wish, the company of our pets.
Here you’ll find some great photos of landscapes of the Montefeltro; the photographer is the vet who takes care of the animals in our farm.
